I have been blessed to grow up in an agricultural region in eastern North Dakota. This area is known as the Red River Valley, a small portion of the prehistoric Lake Agassie that covered nearly 100,400 sq.miles ( 161,600 km). As the lake subsided, the ground was very flat and rich with productive topsoil. As a result, this area is known to be a top region for Wheat, Soybeans, Corn, Sugar beets, and Potatoes. As a young boy, I assisted my family's agricultural implement dealership, Rust Sales, whose primary focus was tractors and pull-type scrapers to improve farmers drainage needs on their farms. In 1998 I had the opportunity to purchase a scraper manufacturer in Ashland Wisconson, Ashland Industries Inc. Immediately, we began to improve the products to increase the capacity of scrapers and their durability to meet the needs of customers who wanted to use scrapers for construction applications. Throughout the years, we continued to develop new machines based on input from leading tractor manufacturers and professional dirt contractors. Throughout the years, I held numerous roles as we continued to grow the company. On June 1, 2010, I was appointed as the President of the company and established a great team to continue our aggressive growth plans. In March 2020 Ashland Industries merged with Ktec earthmovers from Rosenort, Manitoba, Canada. to become the largest manufacturer of pull-type earthmovers worldwide. To assist with the merger transition, I moved back to my hometown in Fargo N.D., to be closer to our family and the corporate office in Rosenort, Manitoba Canada.
