• Advisors to QVCC Student Government Association• Ensured compliance with all college and QVCC Student Government Association (SGA) policies and procedures, with special attention to the following:• Ensures that all club/organization-sponsored activities meet college safety and liability standards; served as a designated by the college• Remained current regarding cash handling procedures; participates in cash training; ensures that members of the club/organization abide by QVCC cash handling policies and practices• Ensures that all club/organizations’ financial transactions are consistent with College and SGA policy• Attended and monitored official meetings and/or sponsored events of the club/organization or arrangeed for alternate coverage by qualified College personnel• Ensured compliance with club/organization’s constitution and bylaws• Mentored officers and members in the appropriate execution of their roles and responsibilities• Ensured submission of club/organization-related reports or documents, as requested• Actively supported the achievement of program learning objectives as identified by the College.• Acknowledged and assisted student members in their role as College representatives to both internal and external communities• Provided advice, upon request, and appropriately shared knowledge, expertise, and experience with the membership• Other reasonably related duties as requested by Dean of Student Services or designee

Provides support services for students to promote retention and academic success. Engage students in a variety of student services activities to ensure progression towards graduation leading to career or transfer goals. Responsible for implementing college wide retention initiatives to support student success. Assists students in the attainment of academic achievement commensurate with their capabilities through effective performance in these essential functions: Liaison, Identification and Assessment, Advisement and Academic support, and EvaluationWorks in collaboration with faculty, various student support services professionals and students at the college.
