About Randy (James) Snow

I am a husband and dad to 3 amazing rescue dogs. I was fortunate enough to have lived in Switzerland and I published my memoir from that experience "A Texan's Adventure in Switzerland". I am a cofounder of DAR Foundation Rescue where my wife and I along with several amazing volunteers try to help animals.Professionally I have been in software product management for over 25 years where I have performed numerous roles and gained a plethora of experience. I am a passionate and results-oriented leader who specializes in product/portfolio management. My current mission is to create innovative and impactful products that enhance the learning experience for students and educators. I have expertise in strategic planning, communication, and stakeholder management, and I enjoy working with cross-functional teams to deliver quality and cost-efficient solutions. In my current role as a Senior Product Portfolio Manager at StrongMind, I align the portfolio objectives with the business strategies, manage the project pipeline, and conduct in-depth portfolio analysis, risk assessment, and software reviews. I am motivated by the opportunity to make a difference in the education sector, and I value the collaborative and supportive culture at StrongMind. Currently, I am spearheading the launch of a new educational platform, adopting one-week sprints for quick, iterative releases that allow for immediate feedback and prompt delivery of benefits. To prioritize features effectively, we integrated sophisticated tools like Google Analytics, Hot Jar, and user groups, in addition to conducting surveys, polls, and market research. We also embraced AI for developing courses that meet educational standards and for supervising community chat interactions. Looking ahead, there's a plan to roll out AI-powered tools designed to generate student worklists and prioritize tasks, thereby elevating the educational experience. Some of the skills that I use and develop in my role are the voice of the customer, product road mapping, and key performance indicators. I am always eager to learn new skills and technologies, including recent courses in Product Marketing, AI, and Google Analytics.
