About Randy Stocker

Unfortunately, I am a grief expert. I became an expert after I lost my mother and two young daughters to a distracted semi-truck driver. I could have easily taken the path of least resistance and stayed depressed for the rest of my life. Instead, I chose to help others to better understand the tough topics of loss and grief. I wrote the book, Hugs Help--Our Story of Tragic Loss, Survival, and Helping Others. I also became a professional speaker on the subjects of loss, grief, and resilience. I share my presentation with businesses, Associations, Healthcare facilities, civic groups, and more. My business presentation is called: "FROM GRIEF TO GRATITUDE: NAVIGATING LOSS AND GRIEF IN THE WORKPLACE". My goal is to help business leaders and people managers to better Understand Loss. Five Key Takeaways from my presentation include:1. A better understanding of the "Power of Grief."2. A better understanding of what a griever is thinking, but not saying.3. A better understanding of secondary loss and its impact over a lifetime.4. As a manager, should you be a "grief comforter or a grief supporter?" Big difference.5. Ways to "move forward" after loss. Four Workplace challenges that are addressed include:1. Decreased productivity and job focus2. Emotional strain and communication breakdowns3. Increased absenteeism and presenteeism4.
