I am currently seeking new opportunities to work in the human services field on a part time basis. I have 14 years of professional experience working as a special education teacher and administrator in a residential school for children with Autism (age 10 to 22 yrs). Responsibilities included education/curriculum development, teaching, writing/implementing individualized behavior and education programs for the students. I was a staff supervisor, responsible for staff performance evaluations and for professional trainings.Prior to that, I held a YMCA Physical Director positions for 5 years, overseeing the management of recreational and wellness programs for youth and adults. My most recent work for the past 6 years, was working part time, in counseling youth during mental health crisis situations, at a community-based, acute treatment program. I am interested in continuing to serve the community in my new hometown in Terrell, North Carolina or the surrounding area. I spent most of my life living and working in Massachusetts, but I now reside in North Carolina to be close to my grandchildren and other family.
