Software used: Accounting CS, Excel, Access, Word, & VERSA RENT.

• Supervise (4 to 6 office employees) accounting operations (AS400/custom software) general ledger, monthly financial statements for petroleum jobber with annual sales over $40 million.• Maintain/reconcile electronic credit card accounts (Shell, Texaco, and Citgo).• Initial set up/supervise EFT system, in-house/pre-authorized accounts, over 60 retail/wholesale fuel/C-Stores.• Prepared electronic web based sales tax returns for chain of 6 convenience stores. Implemented ongoing sales tax spreadsheet reducing preparation time monthly. • Pay real estate/personal property taxes on owned/leased properties in E. Tennessee.• Supervise fuel/freight invoicing, sales tax reporting, accts payable, fuel & C-Store inventory, and two subsidiary accts receivable ledgers.• Supervised up to four (4) payrolls for three companies, related W-2’s, quarterly payroll tax returns (State & Federal), non-employee compensation, and related section 125 retirement plan. • Prepare preliminary year-end work-papers for company’s “Compilation & Review” by local CPA firm. Correspond with said CPA firm about financial statements, and tax matters.• Recommend/initial set up “in house proprietary automated fleet card system” (Mannatec) for company/locations. Fleet card business retained in house continues to save company money over the outside third party fleet business.
