Responsible for multi distribution channels and based on corporate sales objectives, develop and recommend individual marketing plans that are reasonable and effective for each agent/agency within the market. Conduct frequent, periodic review of these marketing plans via use of Share Plans to assess accomplishment of goals. Take action to support or realign goals as necessary. Collaborate and develop strong relationships with other business partners both within and outside the territory. Assure that business plans compliment ADG, Financial Services and the General Agency when appropriate. Share and use challenges, opportunities and skill sets with partners to enhance MetLife Property and Casualty market differentiation. Conduct effective prospecting to attract a sufficient pool of qualified Property & Casualty Specialists and Independent Agents to meet sales plan for geographic area of responsibility. Select candidates to represent Sales Distribution and provide strong support for candidate's initial orientation and start up. Recruit, hire and provide necessary training, coaching and mentoring to ensure sustained motivation to achieve market plans. Conduct ongoing dialogue with agents/agencies to determine the support needed on an individual basis. Create action plans to meet needs and take action to complete plans. Communicate regularly with P&C Specialists and Independent agents assigned to market. Deliver information updates, training counseling and mentoring that adds value to performance. Continually assess individual performance of agents/agencies and takes immediate corrective action or communicates recognition of superior performance. Assess development potential of agents/agencies and provides development opportunities. Coordinates with Home Office Sales Distribution functions to ensure operational compliance.

Responsible for new and renewal yellow page billings, throughout Indiana. Managed a traveling sales team of 8 to 10 sales representatives. Involved the recruiting, hiring and training of new representatives. Training included not only the print product but also internet advertising options within Superpages.com. Representatives were taught strengths and weaknesses of all advertising media, and the use of Customer Focused Selling skills in order to differentiate ourselves as true marketing consultants.

Provided sales and marketing expertise to individual Dial One Franchises. This included assistance with effective recruiting and hiring of sales personnel, as well as development of detailed marketing plans with the franchise owners, with on-going follow up to ensure effective lead generation and closed sales.

Responsible for a captive sales force in Indiana and Kentucky. Managed four Insurance Center Sales Managers, each of which having four to six sales reps.
