Responsible for the oversight of the financial activities of Taher, Inc, including financial leadership, planning, financial reporting and capital management. Responsible for strategic growth, direction and profitability of a new start-up entity in Minnesota by creating, communicating and implementing the Company's vision, mission, culture and overall strategic direction while ensuring their alignment with short-term and long-term objectives of the Company. Tim Hortons is a large Canadian-based multinational restaurant company known for its coffee and bakery products - named after the All-Star hockey player that founded the company in 1964. Tim-Minn, LLC entered the Minnesota market recentely as an early start-up dedicated to expanding Tim Hortons throughout the state.

Played a key role in executing the growth strategy. By aligning financial resources with operational goals and performance, enabled FHG to grow from 40 locations to 210 throughout the U.S. during this period and become the largest franchisee in the DQ system. Worked closely with operations to help identify and deliver on opportunities for margin expansion, implemented benchmarks to enhance company performance, developed cash flow forecasting capabilities for financial management, proactively supported the business to ensure achievement of financial/operations objectives.

Corporate deals include in-depth on-site due diligence, analysis of financial statements, analysis of accounting methods and performance benchmarking, negotiate and draft financing terms. Portfolio management included analysis of operating performance, industry research and senior management meetings.

Assisted with the acquisition of PDI in 2001, leading to major contributions in a distressed turnaround company. Directly accountable for all finance, accounting and inventory management. Responsibilities included business development, operations analysis, financial controls, cost savings initiatives, strategic planning, and vendor negotiations. Increased the leadership role of Finance to improve the culture in a turn-around company. Identified benchmarks to improve operating performance. Strategic initiatives led to significant improvements in PDI’s competitive position during a difficult economy and its profitability by reducing operating costs, reducing working capital needs, strategic enhancement of key product offerings and developing a stronger overall business model. Executed the exit strategy via the sale of the Company.
