Provide technical leadership associated with a team responsible for securing the company's manufacturing plants around the world, applying best practices for Manufacturing IT throughout the corporation while assuring sustainable solutions be leveraged, including appropriate Cybersecurity practices. In general, we leveraged the NIST Cybersecurity Framework for Critical Infrastructure guidance across a large global organization. Additionally, I implemented firewall Digital Twin capabilities (modeling the firewall configuration) allowing historical requirements (identified in logs) to be evaluated against proposed changes to ever- improving firewall rules (usually standardized) for impact assessment prior to change requests, minimizing plant impact and in particular, unexpected impact. This allowed a smooth transition for plants moving from traditional firewalls to next generation firewalls and from one vendor's firewall to another.

As part of a small global team charged with securing the manufacturing plants, we worked with a multitude of plants to properly secure them from Cyber-attack. I acquired significant firewall expertise in particular, developing standards and best practices to maintain the firewall configurations globally. Mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures as well as a rapidly evolving cyber threat required an ever-expanding expertise base, as well as excellent communication and teamwork to ensure a successful partnership with personnel running the plants.

Building upon experience with circuit design in general and Application Specific Integrated Circuits (ASICs) in particular, I provided Technical Support and Development services to customers and potential customers for Dow's Advanced Electronic Materials business. In addition to customer facing business experience, I worked with internal and external analytical labs for material characterization and gained additional experience with product development.

In this role, I worked with a small team developing the next generation of internally designed, developed, and supported process automation systems for internal use running the plants. This involved the development of the new architecture, followed by the design of the hardware and software of the network's circuit boards and testing equipment needed for the new, highly redundant and reliable process automation systems. Working with sophisticated visual tools, large instruction word assembly language code was developed for optimal operational efficiency.

Working on a global team, I lead the roll-out of Local Area Networks and the implementation and support of the wide area networks, as well as providing Personal Computer support as terminals were being replaced by desktop computing.
