Profile bio

About Randy Agapito Ms Otrl Csrs

I am an Occupational Therapist with 10+ years of experience in the field of neuro-rehabiitation, receiving my Certified Stroke Rehabilitation Specialist designation and Certification in Neuro-IFRAH, while also attaining training in Maitland Australian Physiotherapy Seminars M.A.P.S. MT-1 Essential Peripheral and FES Bike RT 300. I have utilized my skills in various settings from hospital, outpatient, and senior living communities, bringing clinical leadership and a strong passion for teaching and creating better processes.I have a strong interest in public engagement, innovative practice, and reaching underserved populations. My pursuit of these passions brought me an opportunity to serve my community as Founder of Inspiration Golf, a non-profit organization dedicated to building health, social community skills, and personal independence for individuals with disabilities through the sport of golf. (www.inspirationgolf.com) In 2019, I was fortunate enough to receive my Titleist Performance Institute Certification and hope to apply my knowledge of the body-swing connection to support the rehabilitative goals of adaptive golfers and golfers with disabilities. My teaching philosophy for Occupational Therapy incorporates an integrative and inductive approach tasking students to draw upon foundational knowledge and applying it to new or more complex problems, while retaining the ability to ascertain multiple working theories to apply to their findings. I believe this approach closely resembles higher level assessment, clinical reasoning, and research skills that are valued in the field of Occupational Therapy and support excellence in the practice.
