As a Material Planner I was responsible for supporting Lear Montgomery by planning, determining, controlling material requirements, and maintaining an inventory database. Other responsibilities were to control materials by studying inventory, and manufacturing schedules; conferring with production teams; developing inventory plans and priorities; monitoring inventory levels, lead times, lot sizes, and fill rates; evaluating planned and proposed material/process changes; identifying and resolving supplier problems; and developing solutions for launch projects in response to a JIS (just in Sequence) delivery scheme.

As a material coordinator I worked closely with the Project Management department in a successful launch of the UMA program to customer Hyundai DYMOS. I also successfully completed training on ordering over 1000 different CKD parts from overseas suppliers in China and Korea. As well as scheduling delivery of those parts to sustain and support production schedules.

As material specialist for DAS North America it is my main responsibility to control the inventory of materials and to ensure that stock is being pulled and used in a First In First Out method. I also aid the flow of incoming and outgoing goods as well as placing orders without building up excess stock through WMS system. Other responsibilities are: Properly handling rejected or return goods that do not pass quality inspection and note returns for inventory and accounting purposes. Help create a smooth flow of goods within the company, and control the distribution of materials outbound which translates to a overall smooth supply chain. I am responsible for purchasing of goods for one of three of our suppliers. This requires accurate inventory count plus forecasting abilities and accurately placing orders to prevent production line from going down. I also perform spectroscopic, mechanical and optical observations and test on materials to determine their properties to accurate understand all products within the company.
