I’m a New Yorker and a xenophile. The thing most foreign to me is homogeneity. Writing has given me a means of realizing a lifelong goal: to do my best to know and understand the world—unfamiliar cultures, odd quirks, and all.I'm a writer in English and Spanish with extensive experience leading multilingual, multicultural teams on large-scale communications projects. My background spans journalism, custom publishing/content, sustainability reporting, investor relations, and editorial consulting to international NGOs, including the World Bank and African Capacity Building Foundation. How does this translate to value for my clients, and perhaps for you?Since 2015, I've written about such topics as materials science, additive manufacturing, smart textiles, and the Hyperloop for a corporate blog that surpassed the 10 million view mark in 18 months. The first segment of a custom published ebook I co-authored was downloaded 40,000 times. Response was so strong that the project, originally planned for one year, extended to three.A PSA I wrote for a nonprofit scored within the top one percent for number of placements (number of times the PSA aired). One of my articles was quoted in Congressional testimony. Another led to an improvement in insurance coverage available to an under-served population. And others have given me the opportunity to introduce readers to people with too little visibility, from the artisans whose work preserves Mexico's indigenous culture to the Japanese nurse-midwife whose volunteer work in Sierra Leone helped a mother give birth to her first live baby after five pregnancies. Through it all, I deliver thorough research and reporting; reliable, verifiable information and data; and a narrative style that balances factual presentation with human interest appeal. I look forward to seeing what can we achieve by connecting and collaborating.
