Following my work relationship with Ahmed Irfan at wow.lk (when he was CMO there), he called me in as his first hire at IQ where I helped make IQs creative ideas come alive.

I worked with AdShare's American production team to produce lyric videos for foreign artists.I absolutely loved this job.

I bade farewell to my long relationship with MTV to join anything.lk the first e-commerce startup in the country. The transition from a conglomerate to a start up was challenging but liberating at the same time. Reeza and the marketing team were clever to explore almost the full spectrum of my talent and use me well in producing a variety of content. My four years there (through anything.lk expanding and turning into wow.lk) helped me mature a lot as an artist and animator.

An enthusiastic artist just after school I wanted to start my career in advertising. So, carrying a bunch of my drawings in a file I visited a few advertising agencies to get myself hired: Said attempt failed and a disheartened Randy took the next best offer that came my way which was in internship at MTV MBC. Shortly after the internship I was hired as an assistant video librarian/data entry operator. I was quite thrilled, because I got to live among thousands and thousands of movies and songs and on top of that meet and work with Personalities I looked up during school days.I did my job with a lot of passion and was so inspired by the fact that I used to maintain a fat notebook with special quotes from movies, characters, scenes that may come handy for producers etc. I also used to make little drawings on the labels on the cassettes and cue sheets.This little practice is what got me noticed by Chevaan Daniels (then MTV Channel Head) who got me on board MTV News as the first and only graphics designer for news. I hadn't received any formal education on the subject so I was allowed a month to educate myself, which I did by watching online tutorials till I got quite good at it. And thus my journey began... 6 Years later I left MTV for anything.lk only because it was time for me to move on. It wasn't an easy decision to make but it had to be so because for a artist / animator the path for furthering my career was not inside a TV channel. The incredible work discipline and leadership at MTV MBC set my foundations in this career and I will be forever grateful for it. Much Respect.
