I have been with Ritchie Bros. since 1988 holding numerous head office and field management positions with the Company, including Manager of Auction Site Development, Manager of Training, Territory Manager (front line sales rep), Managing Director of European and Middle Eastern Operations, and Senior Vice President responsible for the Company's operations in Europe, the Middle East, Africa and the Eastern half of North America. In 2002, I took over as President and Chief Operating Officer of the Company and from 2005 to 2008 served as President of Ritchie Bros. I then enjoyed a brief semi-retirement in order to spend more time with my family. During this time I continued my involvement with Ritchie Bros. in sales and management training and Board advisory capacities. I re-joined the Company full time in 2013 as Chief Productivity Officer subsequently assuming the role of President of the Canadian operations in October 2014. This latest role was part of the internal restructuring and reshaping of the Executive team initiated under the Company's CEO leadership change that occurred in July 2014. I am a Chartered Accountant with a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of British Columbia. Prior to joining Ritchie Bros. I worked several years with predecessor firms of KPMG as a Senior Tax Manager.
