Working at GM gave me the experience to deal with processes and trouble shooting problem areas related to part tolerance. We also had the ability to apply the laser technology to these areas and solve many high scrap, tool breakage, part quality, and accuracy issues.Working at Hamar Laser gave me the experience of using all of the laser tools available and applying them in many different industrial segments, from aerospace to waste water treatment, from plastic to steel to textile, fiber optic to nuclear applications.With this knowledge we began MDS and expanded our capabilities by also using Renishaw measurement systems, Jenoptik Infrared, Unisorb Installation Technology, UE systems that gives us the ability to solve many problems encountered in many industries.Specialties: Any alignment issue, machine tool calibration, sales of most of the equipment we use in the field.

Went on skilled trades the following May of 1979, worked all the manufacturing floors at plants 1, 3, and 5. Started working with the Hamar spindle laser system in 1985 and expanded my knowledge by learning the L-711 system within the plant. Worked with union and management to grow the technology by working as a trainer for the geometry and spindle laser in the GM development center in Lansing, and traveling to other facilities within GM to assist in alignment projects. We also integrated the laser technology with the vibration analysis group with Jim Pyne's direction and the GM symposium began its run.
