Conducted daily review of the USGLA Trial Balance obtained from the official accounting system STARS-FL to insure all funds were in balance and reconciled with the Command Financial Management System (CFMS) operated by Fleet Forces Command (FFC). Worked closely with the CNSF-LANT Budget Supporting Office (BSO) sponsor FFC as well as all CLASSRON staffs (CG, DDG, FFG, LHD, LPD, LSD, MCM and PC) and the Chief Readiness Office (CRO) staff insuring that funding is used for increased readiness of the fleet and to keep warship’s ready for tasking. Assisted in the coordination of the opening/closing of the fiscal year process on the CNSF staff. Analyzed Ship’s Ammunition costs, Ship’s Fuel consumption rates and financial budget data obtained from The TYCOM Readiness Management System (TRMS) and the Command Financial Management System (CFMS) in preparation for Surface Warfare Enterprise (SWE) flag level briefings and readiness bridge plots. Instituted a rigorous process of reconciling monthly Transportation Advice Code (TAC) billings obtained from Navy Operational Logistics Support Center (NOLSC) through the Service Wide Transportation (SWT) and Power Track systems for the COMNAVSURFOR (CNSF) staff, insuring the proper use of its eight TAC’s by fleet units. When corrections were required the form 1081 process was used through the Defense Finance and Accounting Service-Cleveland (DFAS-CL) to properly attribute charges to the correct accounts.
