As a Research Assistant in the Department of Biomedical Engineering, I helped worked on a research that involves studying and constructing 3D Models of the human nasal and lung airway to be used in computational fluid dynamic simulations. My specific role was to help create 3D models of patient nasal and lung airways from CT and MRI scans using 3D Slicer and exporting them as STL models to be 3D printed and used for testing. My other responsibility in this role was to also help sort through data pertaining to the research as well as reading and revising research papers.
