I managed the Coalition’s communications program: creating social media content for the Coalition and Labor Management Partnership, working with local and national media, and designing materials for Coalition and local union campaigns and events.

I managed content marketing for a small business creating original clothing and accessories for pets. My live streaming show “Wag of the Tale” ran for two seasons on The Pet Scope TV (archived at WagoftheTale.live).

I created and managed the union’s online communication program:• launched, edited, and produced the weekly e-newsletter and monthly print newsletters (see Awards)• established and managed the union’s social media network; wrote the Site Use Policy, Community Guidelines, and Email/SMS Standards & Practices• created videos and managed video operations and equipment• ran online campaigns using websites, social media, email, SMS alerts, live streaming, and other platforms• trained admin and field staff to use the website, SMS alerts, and other platforms for use in campaigns and daily operations

In March 2007, Local 616 merged with nine other locals to become Local 1021 (see item above). My job duties were essentially the same in both jobs, but expanded considerably after the merger. At Local 616 my work focused on managing and producing content for the website, writing and producing the 8-page monthly newsletter, and creating field materials (fliers, posters, brochures, etc.) for contract and political campaigns.

– Created and edited FYI San Francisco, the Bay Guardian's 32-page weekly travel and visitors’ guide to the San Francisco Bay Area.– Created and edited "Crib Sheet: A Bay Area College Survival Guide."– Wrote weekly reader service columns on travel and consumer affairs.– Edited and reported for the annual Freedom of Information Issue. Reported on local political news, including open government, elections, and First Amendment issues.– Worked as the lead reporter for the Bay Guardian on a 1999 ballot measure campaign to enact major open-government legislation (Prop. G).

Translated legal and technical documents from Czech to English for the Prague branch of an international law firm.

I was a reporter and editor for the Czech Republic's first post-communist English-language weekly newspaper. I reported on politics and culture, edited the visitors guide section, and created, edited, and translated poetry for "Literature and Tolerance," a bi-lingual literary supplement to accompany the 61st annual PEN World Congress in Prague.

Special assignment as a reporter covering President Clinton's historic visit in 1994, which I covered for the Bay Area's KGO News Radio as well as the Czech News Agency.
