Led a team of 226 employees, including seven Associate Directors, eight Managers, several Senior Technical staff, and many Technical Analysts. Covered all of the IT operations and infrastructure issues for the 25,000+ VZW employees and the 900+ locations which included Retail Stores, Business Offices, Call Centers, Network Switching Centers, Regional Head Quarters, and Area Head Quarters. Maintained a six million dollar capital budget and seven million dollar expense budget.• Directed the planning and implementation of the entire IT infrastructure for 90 new and 112 relocated retail stores on or ahead of schedule without any impact to the business.• Oversaw the build-out of three new call centers that held over 3000 employees using thin-client and private cloud technologies that saved the company over $200,000 per year in support and power savings.• Led the Implementation of a tapeless system to backup the 120 servers and SANs that stored 14TB of data, which reduced the cost by $116,000 a year and cut the time that it took to do a backup to one tenth of what it used to take. • Championed the integration of 350+ Alltel locations into VZW’s IT infrastructure. This included four call centers, 300+ retail stores, 30 business offices, and a regional head quarters.• Organized the planning and implementation of obtaining 100% voice and data recording in all of our Call Centers, which, through active monitoring, greatly improved the quality of service that are representatives were giving our customers.• Saved the company over a million dollars a year in telecom cost by leading my team to change all of the ISDN backup circuits in the stores with VZW EVDO modems thus utilizing our own network to replace these costly circuits.

Collaborated with the Regional Presidents and was a member of their leadership teams. Oversaw million dollar budgets along with handling all of the IT equipment purchases and vendor management. Managed up to 22 employees and 6 contractors to support all of IT needs for 6000+ employees. • Managed the Integration of Price Communications into VZW which happened ahead of schedule and my team was recognized by the regional leadership for the timeliness and innovation for making this happen. • Supervised the planning and implementation of the VoIP phone systems in all of our retail stores, saving the company millions of dollars in PBX support and phone lines in the first year alone.• Led the first region in the company to have all of their systems converted from the legacy GTE systems which were made up of Novell Networks to the new VZW standards of Windows NT/2000. • Directed my team to achieve the lowest mean time to repair on working tickets of any region in the company.

Managed twelve employees before we became VZW and were still GTE. Supported a wide range of systems with this team for both the Wireless and Telecom sides of GTE, including Novell, Microsoft NT, and Bayon Vines Networks, in a region that spanned eight states.

Supervised six field staff that supported 65 locations made up of retail stores, business offices, and a call center. Hired all of this staff and every one of them is still working with VZW today. Led a corporate team of LAN Administrators to plan and implement the first company-wide Novell Network.

Information Technology LAN Administrator (1992-1996) Installed and administrated Novell Netware 4.x /5.x network operating systems. Planned, installed, and supported the first WAN that was used in GTE and it spanned five states using Cisco routers. Supported the entire Microsoft Office Professional suite and reflections for terminal emulation, consisting of suites for IBM support, PeopleSoft, and Citrix.
