As the x86 & VMware Business Development Manager, my role was to take the Central Region (consisting of 10 or so states) and grow market share. Owning the x86 P/L for the region and targeting specific customers, marketing campaigns, working with the Account Executives in pushing x86 over traditional technologies, and spreading the word on the up and coming x86 market.My role was to:• Develop the partnerships and trust with VMware and other x86 vendors in the region.• Help develop pre-packaged solutions that hit specific price/performance benchmarks.• Bridge the gap between the traditional Account Executives that had never sold x86 before, the x86 selling strategy, the technology and capabilities of it, and the vendors in the marketplace.With the help of the Mainline VMware team, we organized an incredibly successful VMware VDI campaign which attracted hundreds of new potential customers/leads, and lead to many new customers in all sectors. Based on the campaign, and other successes around the region and country, Mainline won VMware Partner of the Year.In the 2+ years, I achieved the highest growth percentage of any region, achieved roughly 50% growth of the x86 and VMware market for Mainline while gaining enough new customers, relationships, and credibility to enter Mainline as an Account Executive.

As a national x86 Systems engineer, my role was to technically present, design solutions, and implement solutions for large customers. This was adopting the relatively new VMware technology and implementing it to revolutionize customers’ environments on traditional x86 rack mount servers or deploying it on new blade technology.

My role was to install, implement, maintain, and support the ever expanding Solaris & Linux workload at GFS. Teamwork, dividing and conquering projects, and taking project requirements and turning them into infrastructure requirements we would then need to implement.
