Loss Control Specialist
CurrentDiligent and accomplished Loss Control and Security Supervisor with a proven track record of ensuring strict adherence to company rules, policies, and standard operating procedures within the warehouse setting. My role involves overseeing all loss control and security staff to ensure a secure operational environment while fostering a culture of compliance and excellence.Vigilance in monitoring and enforcing compliance with standard operating procedures for loss prevention, physical security, and risk management is a key focus. In cases of known or suspected internal and external theft, or vendor fraud, I conduct thorough investigations and collaborate with law enforcement agencies when necessary, including testifying in civil or criminal court proceedings.Store audits are integral to my routine, identifying and addressing procedural deficiencies and security vulnerabilities, such as those related to alarm systems, perimeter walls, store arrangements, and CCTV. Any merchandise or stock shortages are promptly reported to the warehouse management team, enabling swift corrective action.Comprehensive documentation of all loss prevention-related incidents is maintained, and my role involves performing covert surveillance in areas susceptible to loss, such as receiving areas, dispatch areas, stockrooms, refueling areas, and driver delivery points. I prepare and submit detailed written reports on loss control investigations, contributing to a transparent and accountable system.Ensuring the proper functioning of physical security systems, such as closed-circuit televisions, alarms, locks, and shutters, is paramount. I conduct third checks on stocks delivered by suppliers to detect or deter any form of collusion to under-receive, promoting fair and ethical practices.
