I was elected by the CEO to Lead the Corrugated Division as GM responsible for Safety, Customer Service, Purchasing, Manufacturing, Maintenance, Scheduling, Warehousing, Logistics, Environmental, Quality Assurance, Human Resources and Accounting with over $30 million in annual revenue. I formulated financial analysis for, purchased and installed over $6.5 million in new equipment bringing the average age of key corrugated equipment at Marfred from 14 years to 4 years while maintaining strong profits in a slow economy. As Plant Manager I orchestrated the merger of the Corrugated Container Plant and Folding Carton Plant into one manufacturing operation. We were against competition such as GE, Boeing, Allied Signal, Motorola and Honeywell. We turned a plant that had been losing money into the top performing plant in Gaylord making $4 million in net profit one year. We won the Corporate Top Performing Plant award for Gaylord for 4 straight years during my tenure out of 26 plants. I was also the DuPont STOP Safety Training Administrator to implement Behavioral Based Safety in the plant.
