Randy Priem is coordinating the markets and post-trading devision of the FSMA, being specialised in market infrastructures (trading, clearing, and settlement), financial benchmarks, and data intelligence at the Belgian Financial Services and Markets Authority (FSMA). In this respect, he coordinates a team and supervises Belgian trading venues, central securities depositories, and institutions assimilated to settlement institutions. He represents the FSMA at six European colleges of regulators for CCPs, four resolution colleges of CCPs, and is a member of the T2S cooperative oversight college. Furthermore, he is a member of the Markets standing committee, the Post-trade working group, the DLT working group, the CCP policy committee and the Data standing committee of ESMA. Besides supervising market infrastructures, he supervises Euribor as a college member and other significant and non-significant Belgian benchmarks. He is a CPMI-IOSCO steering group member, temporarily seconded at IOSCO as a senior policy advisor and a member of the benchmark network. In addition, Randy Priem is a finance professor at UBI Business School (Middlesex University London) and Antwerp Management School. He teaches finance to BSc, MSc, MBA and Master of Finance students and conducts research in the area of financial markets, private equity investments, and mutual funds. He is also a research associate at the Université Saint-Louis in Brussels and was a guest professor of the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven. He published in several international journals such as the Journal of Financial Regulation and Compliance, the Journal of Applied Corporate Finance and European Management Review. He presented his work at various international conferences in e.g. Chicago, Toronto, Atlanta, Brussels, Paris, London, Istanbul, Vallendar, Porto, Nottingham, and Houston.
