Functional Transformation and Ops Strategy, Major North American IOC. Performed gap assessment for a $300B+ integrated oil and gas company to quantify delays and identify issues in the development of equipment strategies for downstream assets. The study encompassed 10 refineries, chemical plants, and integrated facilities across North America, Europe, and Southeast Asia.

Houston, USA: Drove an internal study on the the technical feasibility and economics of modular LNG re-gasification units for use in small markets. Prepared process flow diagrams, budgetary cost estimates, and presented information to executive leadership. Padua, Italy: Supervised the manufacture and testing of 6 (35-60 tonne) subsea pipeline clamps at an Italian shop. Worked side by side with the contractor's project manager and all subcontractors to promote communication and progress reporting. Coordinated with the installation team in Doha to ensure schedule alignment. Bojonegoro, Indonesia: Back-filled as the in-country System Owner for two gas lift centrifugal compressors and two gas injection machines. Responsible for the coordination of local resources to ensure schedule was met while maintaining contract safety/quality standards.

System Owner – Responsible for the stewardship of two sulfur rejection units, two tail gas treatment units, and a glycol dehydration package; managed the construction close-out and PMC activities of 76 systems. Stewarded degreasing catalyst loading activities to completion with no major issues. Coordinated and executed system walk-downs, pre-startup safety reviews, isolation verification checks, and multi-party punch verification and closure efforts.Responsible for multidisciplinary staffing coordination to accommodate multiple field activities; these include equipment inspections, pre-startup safety reviews and toolbox talks, etc. Progress / Performance Tacking – Developed an automated spreadsheet tool to analyze construction / PMC progress from available data and improve reporting – similar tool was adopted by other system owners to focus optimization efforts.

Responsible for engineering issues during construction and commissioning of packaged and combustion equipment for a world-class gas processing facility.Specific work examples: Led engineering involvement in procedure development, review, and execution of one of the largest refractory dryouts and subsequent inspections carried out by a single project in the industry; governed by 4 independent procedures covering 31 vessels and over 10 thousand metric tons of pre-forged and castable refractories. Coordinated the testing / validation of two dozen non-traditional diesel burners, resulting in significant schedule savings over the permanent burner(s) method. Managed contractor’s push-back and addressed all proposed changes to the baseline dryout schedules required by our procedures. Coordinated functional support from shareholder's refractory experts for procedure reviews as well as post-dryout inspections. Completed more than two dozen confined space entries for hands-on refractory assessments of sulfur handling vessels. Assessed refractory damage and played a major role in the engineering decision to order repairs or leave-as-is. Organized and chaired three distinct technical level weekly meetings to discuss company / contractor engineering alignment on all packaged equipment issues under my responsibility (combustion, machinery/cranes, and packaged, skid-type units – over 140 packages). Coordinated the review of vendor deliverables and organized discussions for diverse technical issues. Drafted and submitted letters addressing critical engineering deficiencies. Influenced the contractor to follow our suggestions and implement corrective measures where required, at little or no cost to the project.Conducted a dimensional check and progress survey at Macchi’s Porto Marghera shop in Venice as part of engineering surveillance of a utility boiler.

Coordinated the correction of 150 engineering and construction deficiencies for the largest helium refinery in the world. Directly collaborated with senior leadership, including the Qatari Operations Manager, who led a 400-person department, to resolve issues. Established an excellent rapport with contractor and client teams and influenced corrective actions on hundreds of items required for facility acceptance.

Developed a world-wide demurrage stewardship tool based on VBA. Inputs were automatically imported from dynamic databases, data processed, and charts/tables updated via a simple user interface.
