When I made the move to AWS, I found a group of like-minded individuals who were driven by Customer Obsession and an intense desire to Learn and Be Curious. The move also allowed me to learn a new industry - K-12 Schools, which is made up of people committed to ensuring the success of students. My previous experience was with SLG customers, and so my current role of leading a team of incredibly talented Solution Architects for both SLG and K-12 customers is an extremely rewarding one for me. I get to help support customers in both industries as they make the journey to the Cloud, with the end result of providing better services to the people they support - you, and I, and our Children. These are greatly needed and appreciated services, and because of that and our relentless focus on the customer, our team is expanding. I am looking for deeply technical professionals with experience in building, operating and migrating enterprise systems - both on-prem and in the cloud. Professionals who believe that everything should begin and end with the customer in mind. SLG and/or EDU experience is valued, but not required. Think you've got what it takes? I love making a difference. At AWS, I have the opportunity to help K12 EDU customers understand and adopt Cloud technologies, making a difference in their lives and in the lives of students. My role in this is to lead an incredibly talented group of individuals who work directly with our customers as Solutions Architects. In that role they are able to help schools transform how they work, enhance the services they offer to students, and help them be more cost effective.

Growing up I worked in the family business, where from an early age my dad instilled in me the importance of excellent customer service. Before long I figured out that not only was I good at it, but it brought me a deep sense of satisfaction and joy to help others be successful. I do this by understanding their needs, goals and desires and helping them to achieve them. As personal computing became popular, I soon found another passion – technology. Cool as some things are though, they don’t natively provide any intrinsic value. Pairing technology with the needs and wants of people enables them to do things that were not possible individually. Because of this, I have sought out and held various positions that married People and Technology. I feel my current role is the perfect combination of the two things I care most about in my work. I enjoy helping organizations and people to achieve success by understanding their goals, challenges and business drivers and matching technical solutions to reach them.At AWS, I found a group of like-minded individuals who are passionate about customers and technology. People who love to learn, who obsess over the customer, and who use technology to invent and simplify the challenges we all face in ways that make us more successful than we could be on our own. As part of the Education vertical, I help enrich the lives and minds of young students – shaping their abilities and opportunities by improving the technology available to their schools. Having the ability to really focus on the customer at AWS was a critical part of my decision to be here. I have never worked at a more customer-centric organization, and I believe that what I am doing – what we are doing – matters. I work with Microsoft's customers in Northern California, the Pacific Northwest and Alaska. I help them to modernize their datacenters through on-premises solutions like System Center, Cloud-based solutions out of Azure like Operations Management Suite, as well as hybrid solutions that utilize the best of both worlds. I also help them implement security and monitoring solutions spanning on-premises, cloud and hybrid using tools like OMS, Log Analytics, Azure Site Recovery and Azure Backup. Some companies refer to this position as a Sales Engineer, and customers find it very valuable as they make the modernization and Cloud transformation journey!

I help government customers in the North Central Region understand the best way to manage public and private cloud datacenters using Microsoft's tools. I also help them Modernize their datacenters by delivering dynamic, scalable solutions that lower costs and improve services to customers.

I help government agencies in Northern California understand, deploy and manage Windows operating systems and associated applications. I also help them to understand the ins and outs of Client virtualization, application delivery and systems management using the Microsoft System Center family of products.

I interact with State & Local Government customers to enable them to understand Current and Emerging Microsoft technologies and how these best fit into their businesses.**I Love my job!!**
