These strategies resulted in an unprecedented 97% inventory fill rate while reducing the inventory by $2M.– Cut transportation costs by 18% by re-engineering the distribution channels coupled with a competitive strategic sourcing process and a carrier performance program.– Redesigned the Cycle Count Process of a $32M inventory, 15,000 skus, which yielded efficiencies exceeding $500K. – Interfaced with Marketing to assist in new product development, profitability analysis and improvement.– Developed and implemented the critical financial and key indicator metrics, which provided a status of the logistics support structure.

– Commanded a multidisciplinary logistic organization comprised of 10 subordinate units, 800 soldiers, a $3.7M operational budget, and accountable for $50M of equipment and facilities.– Orchestrated the multifaceted logistic support for Nation Building and Humanitarian efforts throughout Central/South America. This support consisted of transportation (ground and waterborne), supply, water, fuel, munitions removal/disposal, medical and force protection support.– Created innovative training and maintenance programs that allowed the battalion to achieve recognition at the highest levels. – Increased operational readiness and efficiency resulting in four Department of the Army Achievement Awards for Supply Discipline, Maintenance Management, Transportation Operations, and Safety Management. The unit was also runner-up in the categories of Security/Force Protection and Culinary Operations.
