CurrentWorking independently or in a team testing multiple open source software products including websites, content management systems and bespoke software solutionsSoftware development projects ranging from traditional waterfall methodologies through to fully agile projects including Scrum and KanbanWorking closely with customers, project managers, developers and other QA testers throughout the software life cycle using personal messenger applications, email, phone and face to face interactions.Involved in projects from the discovery phase through to production go live and support phaseCreate detailed QA test estimates for project managers taking into account the complexity of the project and need for any regression testingAttend daily stand up meetings with developers, project managers and user experience experts to update on progress and raise issues and concernsWrite detailed Acceptance Criteria using Wireframes, user stories and other project specific documentationWrite detailed test scripts based on project specific Acceptance Criteria and creating test sets to run for new functionality or regression testingRunning manual test scripts against their individual Acceptance Criteria to ensure software functionality will meet customer requirementsRaising detailed defect/bug reports for any failed tests using various defect tracking systems and management of those defects through to closure, including re-testing, assignment to customer UAT systems and any targeted regression of system modulesCreate daily test reports summarising tests carried out and defects raisedCreate project completion reports for customers and root cause analysis for internal use in the project review phaseWorking closely with customers through UAT testing phase including training sessions on new softwareUse of Vagrant machine to undertake first line Pull Request testing of functionality and Defect fixes before deployment to QA site
