Ranjana Kanti is the co-founder, a grassroots worker and the face behind NGO INDIA Redefined (www.indiaredefined.org) https://youtu.be/mcJ1Px7TKpM which was awarded the Best Humanitarian Initiative 2009 with an aim to make more “Doers” than Beneficiaries. With supporters across the Globe, it is actually creating responsible, empowered citizens by bringing about “Behavioral Change”. Under Ranjana’s leadership, INDIA Redefined, which is a Common United Platform (CUP) for Collective Responsibility of four pillars of a nation, namely Citizens, Corporate, NGOs & Government, is actually becoming people’s movement day by day – by awakening people to take up local causes like Environment, Education, Health, Cleanliness etc. Lakhs of people have come together on this common platform INDIA Redefined, irrespective of their religion, political affiliations, language, state, caste etc.Ranjana has got many awards & recognitions like Women Leaders Awards in her lifetime .Ranjana earned her bachelor’s in English from Delhi University, is a trained Animator and Graphic Designer and is a Post Graduate in Social Enterprise Management from Mumbai University. She has been working for the social causes for the last 3 decades which includes - Literacy Programs for children of illiterate parents, awareness program in slums, street children, working for visually handicapped, , Education for children of migrant Workers, street children, helping riot affected people,organized programs of communal harmony and providing free computer literacy for senior citizens. Ranjana has trained over 600+ economically weak youths in Animation, Computer Graphics & Multimedia &were then placed into jobs. She also helped set up training and later business for economically deprived housewives in stitching, helped them in setting up many small scale business of spices, embroidery etc. Many awareness programs in slums for vaccination, sanitation & hygiene were conducted. She initiated vermin culture projects, garbage segregation, conducted campaigns for environment conservation, relocation of street hawkers, organized various programs in Municipal schools, street plays on population control, anti plastic, corruption etc. Ranjana made many “Doers” in her life as she herself is, who do many works for Society & Country like her - within her/his resources and available time.INDIA Redefined has been doing activities on various social causes with zero donation with the help of 1500000 lakh supporters across India in different states in last 14 years.
