Many people may think of this type of position as a Teller that you may typically visit in a physical Bank office, which is true in some ways – but I also had the ability to do more than a Teller at a Bank counter. I was measured under a lot of the same sales goals and client satisfaction targets, but my focus was to connect with clients to develop a trusting interaction where they feel comfortable to disclose their banking needs and for us to look through the full range of options available within the programs, accounts, or services available to meet their needs. The responses and inquiries that I got ranged from online banking access support needs, paying bills, resetting passwords, information or loans or mortgages, and verifying balances on accounts by phone. While working with individuals by phone I tried to look for ways on how we could help them understand the technology available to them as a client and ensure that they had a positive and comfortable experience to work through their needs and utilize all the options available to them. Sometimes this involved promoting additional products or services, which was done after I listened to everything they had to share.
