• Linux/ AIX/Solaris OS migration/patching to the latest bank standards.• Configuring and handling HA cluster (GPFS/HACMP/VCS/Sun Cluster) related issues and optimizing the new setups as per the IBM/VERITAS/Oracle recommendations. • Hardening the servers based on security guidelines. • End to end planning, analyzing & migrating applications utilizing centralized infra platforms (CD/MQM) to new servers. • User management, Account/Group creation, SFTP configuration and providing access. • Setup auto startup scripts for application and other infra agents. • Performing memory management, process management, performance tuning.• Configuring, supporting and upgrading various clusters, Connect direct/MQ serves. • As part of service recovery team, actively supporting Incidents of high critical servers under complex Trading system/Corporate banking/Public internet banking/transaction applications. • Assisting in fixing the vulnerabilities and also sharing reports with audit teams and updating necessary changes based on their feedback. • Working closely with storage team in migrating obsolete storage in AIX/Linux environments.• Handling escalations in the proper channel to sort out the issue in the best possible way, working with vendors / stakeholders to get the issue identified and worked upon.• Participate in Incident review following major Incidents and performing Root Cause Analysis to identify origin of the issue and take remediation steps to avoid reoccurrence in similar environment.• Documenting the new issue & resolution in Confluence/SharePoint, circulating it within the team for future references. • Actively participating, acting as SPOC for infra & coordinating with other stake holders to make DR tests/ drills successful. • Providing On-call support and stand by after working hours/weekends to support an Incidents. • Working with Hardware engineers/vendors to replace any faulty hardware’s in Oracle/IBM/HP servers.

• Understanding the scope of work and delegating the tasks across teams. Identifying client’s needs and laying a standard process to satisfy them.• Performing user management (Account/Group/Netgroup) for providing access to the users.• Handling NIS related tasks, SVM tasks, Zone administration, Network configuration, Package administration, Patch Management, etc. in Solaris.• Performing LVM tasks, Network Configuration, Package/Patch Administration, etc. in Redhat/SuSE/Oracle Enterprise Linux. • Expertise in generating public keys for the users and enabling the password-less login for the users. • Configuring startup scripts for the application agents.• Performing Volume management (SVM, LVM, Veritas) for effective space utilization on the servers.• Fair understanding in VERITAS Volume Manager and Veritas cluster service. • Handling Samba provisioning for the user accounts based on the requirement.• Performing memory management, process management, performance tuning.• Performing patching on Solaris/Linux OS, Firmware upgrade and various hardware drivers. • Handling various OS related issues and alerts generated by the monitoring tool.• Booting the servers in single user mode/ failsafe mode for troubleshooting the issue.• Hands-on experience in troubleshooting issues related to storage, working closely with storage team for any issue related to lun’s/powermt issue/SRDF replications. Performing SRDF split/establish and storage upgrade as per the requirement.• Handling escalations in the proper channel to sort out the issue in the best possible way, working with vendors / stakeholders to get the issue identified and worked upon.• Engaging various stakeholders (Database/ Application Team, etc.) and working towards their requirements based on agreed standards.• Performing Incident Management, Service Request Management, and Change Management on resolving OS related issues as per the agreed SLA.
