At VZW, I was part of a large infrastructure group that was responsible for installing, configuring and deploying java application on WAS 7.0 and 8.5. I was part of multiple internal infrastructure group; one team handled SSO using Site Minder, load balancing using DataPower and the other was responsible for deploying and maintaining applications for the MyVerizonMobile for the handsets. I was also responsible for troubleshooting level 3 production related issues using wily to ensure the site was available 24X7, 365 days with 99% uptime.

My primary responsibility was the migration of java applications from older versions of WAS (CE, 5.0) to newer versions of WAS (6.1,7.0,8.0). My tasks included installation, configuration and maintenance of WebSphere Application Servers, IIS Web Server and WebSphereMQ. I worked with different teams for task accomplishments. Worked closely with IBM support team by opening PMRs for issues. I later joined the Operations team to help with troubleshooting production issues and handling day to day operational tasks which included deployment, troubleshooting applications on non-production environments.

I interned at the operations department to help with standardizing and documenting the inpatient admission procedure; a handbook for in-patient Guest Relation Executive (GRE). As part of my work, I also helped in organizing a UroGynec workshop that aired surgical procedure in real-time that was being performed at the hospital to a remote conference center.
