• Responsible for initial configuration and build of new NAS equipment according to thecompany standards.• Maintained proper provisioning standards and documentation for new builds and hardwareupgrades for existing NAS equipment.• Performed Network move of filers between Networks as a part of company acquisition and conversion project.• Performed shelf additions to the production filers and increase the aggregate space by addingthe disks to the aggregates also shuffle the disks to make sure aggregate disk layout wouldgive maximum performance.• Performed NDMP Configuration to the production filers to support Filer Tape Backupusing SAN, which involved adding the interfaces to the filer if required and zoning the filerto two SAN Fabrics for HA and enable NDMP on filers.• Also part of Migration team to Migrate data from Aged filers to the newly built filers anddecommission the aged filers.• Worked closely with engineering to update the Documents, process and standardize thebuild documents and create templates specific to the design patterns to support featureinstalls.

• Installed and configured FAS 3040c, FAS 3020c with vFilers, created qtrees and shared to CIFS and NFS clients.• Added DS14mk2 Shelves to FAS3040c with new loop for exchange Production and DR environment without down time.• Responsible for Creating Backup policies and restoring the NetApp Volumes (NAS shares and LUN’s), Windows and UNIX File systems using Veritas NetBackup 6.5.2.• Configured the NetBackup media server and also configured the drive paths in the NetBackup GUI.• Installed and configured OSSV on windows hosts at remote sites to improve backup and restore speeds.• Documented the OSSV implementation, Initialization, File Server Recovery and single file recovery procedures.• Implemented the Failover and fail back of DFM server.• Assisted in bringing the LUN’s back online using SnapDrive after migration.• Migrated the vFilers from FAS 3040C to FAS 3040C with very less down time.Decommissioned the unused volumes and aggregates after migration.Moved the Data Fabric Manager server to another computer without losing configuration,history, and discovery information.Performance monitoring of filers is done using the performance advisor and configured theevent monitoring in OpsManger (3.6R2).Non-disruptive Upgrade of DataONTAP from 7.2.4 to 7.2.5.1 on FAS3040 and FAS3020 inactive/active environment has been done.Assisted in Configuring the Disaster Recovery setup after migrating the data.
