My primary research interest lies in developing data-driven analytical solutions to facilitate pathophysiologic findings and clinical diagnosis of diseases towards better patient outcomes. My program of research can be summarized into the following three main directions: 1. using multi-modal health data and predictive analytics (machine learning) to predict various clinical endpoints (cardiac arrest, delayed cerebral ischemia, ARDS, etc. ). 2. uncovering neural biomarkers preceding the developmental onset of key motor development milestones (crawling, arm reaching, etc.) in electroencephalography (EEG) through computational neuroscience. 3. improving clinical management of ACS, by a). leveraging prehospital data elements to develop predictive models that facilitate early patient triage and clinical decision support, and b). improving in-hospital myocardial ischemia monitoring through analyzing multi-lead ECG recordings.
