Ranya Karafilly possesses a diverse skillset with a grounding in communications, currently being put to good use at the Near East South Asia Council of Overseas Schools (NESA) delivering learning opportunities to international educators. In 2011 she founded Small Mammoth Design, a design and communications studio, and developed a loyal client base including Berklee Press and Pipeline Angels. Previously, as a multimedia project manager at Express Publishing, she led her team in the creation of the ELTon Award-winning ‘Blockbuster’ series. Then, as an editorial production manager at Spandidos Publications, she modernized the company's workflow and coordinated the launch of two new accredited medical journals. Ranya is from Montreal, Canada, where she obtained a B.A. in Communication Studies from Concordia University. She is currently pursuing an MSc in Digital Education from the University of Edinburgh.
