Raouf Ghasemi was born in Ardabil, Iran in 1987. He completed a bachelor’s at Iran University of Science and Technology (IUST) and a MArch degree at the Art University of Tehran. He started his professional career at Boozhgan Architects and also worked for a short period with other consultants like Fluid Motion Architects, and Concept Architects a practice based in Tehran. In his period of military service, he performed a vast range of activities, including investigation and designing for the poor in “Komite Emdad “ and the result was obtaining a deep recognition of and familiarity with this type of life and an architecture adaptive with the poor's lives. Later, he started his career as a professional architect and founded his studio “ Adaptive Notion Architects”. This was a breakthrough for him to design a wide range of multi-scalar projects in Iran.
