Dr. Unghwan “Rap” Choi is a partner and leader of the International Tax/TP Practice of CKP. Rap specializes in assisting US, Korean and other multinational companies with international tax and transfer pricing issues, and has also assisted global companies in economic valuation of intangibles, companies and real estate. In his career of over 24 years, Dr. Choi has worked with global multinational companies as well as large Korean business groups. Rap's career is unique in that he is the only TP expert to have worked as a TP partner at a Big 4 firm both in the US and Korea, and who holds a PhD in economics as well as being a licensed attorney. Rap has been consistently selected by International Tax Review as one of the top TP advisors in Korea. Rap graduated from Seoul National University with honors, and received his Ph.D. in Economics (focusing on finance and industrial organization), as well as his J.D., from UCLA.CKP is the largest Korean American accounting firm in North America with 4 offices in California (LA, Irvine, San Diego, San Matteo), offices in Texas, Georgia, Alabama, New Jersey, Seoul Korea, as well as a Mexican Desk.
