Over the last 15 years, I worked as a professional portfolio manager in London, mainly for a Tier 1 Wall Street Asset Management Firm. Then, in 2019, I left London and cycled the world.After 20,000 km on my bike and incredible hospitality from local people, I needed to pay it forward. During the March'20 crash, I started creating online guides that went viral. So, I started building the Bankeronwheels.com brand in Q2 2020. My mission is to bring financial literacy to everyone. → I want to inspire critical thinking, given the financial industry’s tendency to make false promises. I also believe most investors are better off without typical financial advisors that overcharge and suggest the wrong products.→ I like simple, cheap and intellectually honest investing. My resources are often backed by decades of academic research. Since most of our readers seek passive income and try to gain control of their time, we focus on simple investing that you can set on autopilot. → My B.S. Detector is well tuned after 15 years in Portfolio and Risk Management, I can sense false promises and unsound strategies. → The industry and media have a financial incentive to keep investing opaque and leave investors confused, focusing on things that they cannot control by, for example, increasing the number of trades they make.
