* Manage a team of 7 application architects who are allocated on projects in the retail banking, institutional banking and wealth domains. Tasks include resource planning, engagement discussions and performance evaluations.* Coach and mentor the architects to develop their capabilities to achieve their personal goals and raise the team's overall capability.* Contribute and drive the continuous improvement of the architecture practice to improve the quality of decisions, increase transparency, improve traceability and to promote knowledge sharing using Lean principles.* High and low level design of end-to-end solutions for the internal channels and Digital Channels as well as for the bank's Core Banking support systems. Systems are integrated using SOA and microservices architecture.* Engage with enterprise architects, solution architects and system owners to understand current capabilities and identify road maps in order to design appropriately.* Collaborate with project teams to provide business case and detailed design estimates as well as identifying key areas of risk and mitigation strategies.* Present solution design to stakeholders, architecture and management (up to EGM level) for socialisation and feedback.* Communicate and collaborate with engineers, business analysts and user experience practitioners to deliver in agile and waterfall projects.* Provide technical and design leadership for the Home Loans domain.* Conduct reviews of current state architecture to identify areas of improvement and investment strategies to align with the bank's objectives.* Collaborate with developers to define the frameworks, patterns and behaviours that are required to improve the engineering capability and the increase speed to market.
