Title: Ultra-high voltage, low power and energy recovering electronics for dielectric elastomer actuatorsPh.D. thesis in the Integrated Actuators Laboratory (LAI) and Center for Artificial Muscles (CAM) of EPFL under the supervision of Prof. Yves Perriard and Dr. Alexis Boegli. The goal of this project was to investigate and design a power electronics system capable of supplying ultra-high voltages (>8000V) from a low voltage (12V) power supply to dielectric elastomer actuators (a.k.a artificial muscles) and of subsequently recovering the energy stored in them. The whole system was destined to power a new kind of heart assist device.A functional prototype was ultimately successfuly designed, manufactured, assembled and tested by myself.

Taught and provided help to Bachelor students from various faculties (Electronics, Mechanics, Life Sciences, etc.) to understand the fundamentals of electronics through practical and theoretical exercises.

Work in anticipation of my PhD thesis in EPFL's Integrated Actuators Laboratory (LAI)

Master's thesis consisting of the design of a Gantry Stage using high precision linear motors and the study of its physical properties in order to optimize the precision and reliability of the system.

Received, prepared and delivered various orders of office supplies to EPFL collaborators and teachers, and organised the layout of new classrooms and conference rooms.
