I founded OSPO Now after recognising many companies want to embrace Open Source but don't have the in-house resources to carry this out. We act as a virtual open source program office, either on retainer, delivering hands-on bespoke projects, or providing training. At Imperial I was working as part of Prof. Neil Ferguson's COVID-19 Real Time Modelling team in the MRC Centre for Global Infectious Disease Analysis. I contributed to the Imperial COVID-19 model that directly fed into SPI-M-O/SAGE decision making, which informed government policy on lockdown.

As Open Source Manager I was in charge of leading link23, an Open initiative to create and curate tools for genomic equity. In the role I created a strategy for sustainability and community building, structured the project around core pillars for different communities, and co-developed legal documents for interacting with the open source project.

I consult on a range of data science research and management (DSRM) services including: bespoke machine learning models, drawing insights from data using classical Statistics and machine learning, toolbox design and implementation with R and Julia, project management for small and large data science projects, design and implementation of automated CRMs, visualisation, GDPR compliance assessments and more.Currently working with DFKI and LMU Munich.Past projects include:• Machine learning and time-series forecasting for predicting customer churn• Consulting on and implementing supervised-learning models to predict and prevent customer churn• Supervised learning to determine causality between surgery and recovery times• Designing and building data systems using cloud-based solutionsPast clients include LEGO, Nuffield Health and ISEH.

I was part of the Digital Technology team within Data for Science and Health. I identified opportunities and manage projects focusing on Infectious Diseases (primarily AMR and drug discovery) as well as emerging technologies that can tackle urgent health challenges.I also designed and launched the inaugural Wellcome Data Science Ideathon, which saw 90 participants competing in teams to win up to £120,000.

Based in the Department of Computer Science. I researched machine learning applications in survival analysis with an emphasis on fairness and evaluation. I also assisted in building the lab, setting technical tasks and conducting interviews.

Whilst at Cambridge I focused my research on building software packages in Julia that can be integrated with aligned packages in R.

I worked as part of a 4-member analyst team on a machine learning project for Roche analysing non small-cell lung cancer data. My contributions included: data cleaning and organisation, classification predictions, and survival analysis. The results of this contract helped Turing secure a long-term partnership with Roche.

Whilst a visiting researcher at the Alan Turing Institute, I focused on research relating to churn prediction with survival analysis and reductions with off-the-shelf binary classifiers.

Working in collaboration with The Alan Turing Institute, UCL and Microsoft I built machine learning models for time-to-event and churn modelling. This project required Microsoft Azure for data-handling and model implementation. I was coding in R for machine learning and SQL for pre-processing.

Principle duties were to design, implement and manage financial and administrative management systems, built in Salesforce.By utilising automation I smoothed out every-day tasks including sales through the till, monitoring outstanding contracts and managing employee productivity.The system was also capable of distinguishing between the many nuances of VAT and identifying the correct codes and formulas based on data-validated user forms.Additionally I performed accounts duties including credit control, reconciliations and scheduling supplier payments.

• Registering, updating and controlling transactions for sales and purchase orders using QuickBooks Pro.• Bank reconciliations for all accounts.• Calling suppliers and customers to discuss payments as necessary

Carry out day-to-day administrative tasks including:• Liaising with the accounts team.• Updating contracts & policies.• Keeping in contact with customers for any and all miscellaneous queries.• Discussing & implementing management solutions with the Creative Director.

Primary duties included:• Reading over 2,000 CVs and selecting those worthy of further consideration.• Conducting telephone interviews and selecting candidates for face to face interviews.• Assisting in the organisation & running of assessment centres.Additionally, I worked closely with the financial controller and CFO of the company to create a spreadsheet in Excel that allowed me to compare and analyse approximately 1,000,000 data cells held in non-compatible databases.

Principal duties included:• Producing daily, weekly and monthly currency reports for distribution to approximately 10,000 subscribers.• Producing bespoke currency reports for individual major clients.• Providing telephone briefing of clients on currency movements and outlooksAdditionally I devised various Excel spreadsheets including:• Several graphic based interfaces for marketing• An automated program to live-update cross exchange rates for exotic currencies• A worksheet for use by the currency traders to monitor outstanding client positions on forward contracts.
