Experimental physics interested in heterogeneities of low-dimensional complex hierarchical systems, in particular naturally abundant lamellar minerals, aiming for applications in nanotechnology through defect engineering. Currently investigating the confinement of water in natural nanocavities, as well as the intrinsic magnetic properties of 2D materials and the extrinsic properties of lamellar minerals due to the incorporation of iron. She works by combining synchrotron light techniques in the study of 2D systems with advanced scanning nanoprobe techniques. Furthermore, she has experience in Electrical Measurements, Electron Paramagnetic Resonance (EPR), Photoluminescence (PL) and Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM). She works as a Researcher in the LAM group (Microscopic Samples Laboratory) at LNLS/CNPEM, which is dedicated to the preparation of advanced samples. PhD in Physics from the Federal University of Minas Gerais with a sandwich period at the Brazilian Center for Research in Energy and Materials. Master in Physics from the Federal University of Minas Gerais. Bachelor in Physics from the Federal University of Minas Gerais. Technician in Electronics by the institution SENAI - CETEL.
