About Raphael Aparecido Boschero

I am a biochemical engineer and hold a Ph.D. in Bioprocess Engineering and Biotechnology. I have experience in research and development, scaling up, and transferring bioprocesses, with a focus on applying this expertise to the development of bioprocesses for cultivated protein/meat.I graduated from the Federal University of Rio Grande (FURG), with a study period at the University of California, Davis (UCD, USA). I completed my Ph.D. at the Federal University of Paraná (UFPR), CAPES 7. I have worked in the animal health industry, developing and scaling up bioprocesses for vaccine production. Currently, I am a Bioprocess Development Specialist at the R&D team of the JBS Biotech Innovation Center, focusing on the development of cultivated protein.Knowledge in: cell, bacteria, and virus cultures; optimization of upstream and downstream processes; nanoencapsulation; bioreactor operation; conventional filtration; tangential flow filtration systems; continuous flow centrifugation; precipitation; immunoinformatics; peptide synthesis and chemical conjugation; ELISA; various analytical and molecular biology techniques; intellectual property (patent search and drafting); process scaling and technology transfer for production; general documentation (SOP, IF, URS); acquisition of industrial equipment; Design of Experiments (DoE); SuperPro Designer simulation software; and management of academic research projects.Lattes: http://lattes.cnpq.br/6051449946773733ORCID: https://orcid.org/0000-0002-9668-7526Contact: r.boschero@gmail.com
