Having triumphed over tonic-clonic epilepsy in his early 20s, Kui Hee found his calling inacupuncture while pursuing a life sciences program at the University of Toronto, with theultimate aim of becoming a medical doctor.For over five years, Kui Hee suffered from relentless seizures that rendered him incapable ofindependence. In a state of despair and finding no solace in Western medicine, he soughtalternatives. His quest for relief led him to Traditional Oriental Medicine, thanks to a Korean-Chinese practitioner in Toronto. A mere six months of dedicated acupuncture and herbalmedicine treatments marked the end of his seizures.
