About Raphael Cornwell

I'm a freelance drone pilot and photographer based near Hamburg, Germany. Since 2015 I own and operate a drone provider service for professionals in commerce and industry. My past 3 years have been highlighted by successful collaborations with Sitemark, UC-TV GmbH, Gravionics, Spotscale and many other clients. I have received training for Pix4D Mapping, Matterport, and Bentley's 3D Context Capture, not to mention hands-on experience with solar panel inspections (rgb + infrared), crop mapping (rgb, multi-spectral, infrared), stockpile measurements, and industrial inspections. This past summer I mapped sections of a major German refinery with my equipment to provide the data for a pioneering thermal inspections project.Most recently I've focused my time and energy inspecting solar parks throughout Germany for Enerparc A.G on behalf of my client Sitemark. The two previous years, I collaborated with UC-TV GmbH first on a pilot project to inspect shipping cranes in the port of Hamburg where I worked alone or flew with a partner. I also produced a 3D model for 2 of the cranes as well as a VR visit/3D model of the inside. After the initial pilot project was finished we earned a contract to continue inspections and UC-TV used my services on a regular basis. Today, my goal is to provide drone services that include survey-grade mapping (RTK, GCP, PPK, under 1 cm), high-resolution aerial video and phototography (48mp +), VTOL mapping that will inclued the use of a Gyrocopter for large scale projects, thermal imaging and Lidar scanning in the air and on the ground.Working together with partners all of these goals should be acheived in the coming months.It is a real challenge to work in this industry, especially at this time with the Covid-19 virus and an ever-changing business landscape, but one thing is certain.... being a drone pilot with lots of experience is always an assest for a company looking for results.

Working as a freelance partner with Mr Thomas Reinecke @ UC-TV GmbH for almost 3 years I gained a great deal of experience operating various drones and payloads. Collaborating with Mr Reinecke, we delivered many inspections performed by drones in all weather and working conditions. For almost 18 months I inspected large shipping cranes in the port of Hamburg @ the HHLA Tollerort.
