I am a journalist and due diligence researcher passionate about uncovering hidden information to drive informed decision-making. My background in journalism has sharpened my ability to tell compelling stories, a skill I now leverage in the due diligence sector. As an experienced consultant, I specialise in analysing open-source information to identify regulatory breaches, financial crimes and reputational risks, enabling clients to navigate complex legal landscapes and high-risk jurisdictions.Integration and diversity are powerful drivers of innovation and growth. My experience working in diverse environments - across Brazil, Colombia and the United Kingdom - has deepened my understanding of different cultures and approaches to problem-solving. This global exposure and my passion for learning new languages have expanded my worldview and strengthened my resilience, adaptability, and communication skills. As a native Portuguese speaker fluent in English and Spanish, and currently studying French (B1), I've learned firsthand how embracing diversity fosters collaboration, creativity and meaningful change. In addition, I am the author of two books, Be Woman, Be black. The Trajectory of black women in Sao Paulo and The Figure of the Author in a Global Context: A Case Study of Gabriel García Márquez and his Authorial Brand; the latter is based on my master’s thesis and published by Editora Dialética.Feel free to connect via DM or email - raphaelelimas@gmail.com
