Publication of a report including an analysis of issues faced by farmers in Nepal, a policy and institution analysis and a series of recommendations to facilitate workshops and radio roundtable discussions at local and national level. The outcome of the project is to connect political discourses to farmers’ voices on climatic and societal change in Nepal by using social learning.📖 STUDIES AND LITERATURE REVIEW•Redaction of a literature review on vulnerability, its perception by local farmers and policy makers, and the specific context of climate change vulnerabilities.•Analysis of climate change related policies and programmes (implemented and planned) in Nepal from the 90s by the Governement, INGOs and international organizations. •Analysis of the historical, political, social and biophysical context and economic issues related to the underlying causes of vulnerability to climatic and social change for farmers in Nepal.•Redaction of an analysis explaining the difference of perception between farmers and decision makers on vulnerability concept.🔍 FIELD STUDY•Field missions to Dhanusha District and Mohattari District to interview local decision makers, experts and government officials on climate change policies, farming and water access programmes. •Participation to workshop and roundtable debates with farmers and government officials.•Monitoring of the project through a series of interviews with local partners.📢 FACILITATION OF DEBATES•Redaction of recommendations for public debates (on local and national radio) from the analysis report.•Preparation of the role of facilitator for the radio roundtable and workshops by using social learning (participative debates producing co-creation, initiating a change of behaviour and strengthening collaboration between stakeholders).
