Education Policy And Learning Team Lead
Current· Led the establishment of a new technical team (EPL) established in 2017 that provides knowledge and evidence mobilization, technical advisory function to country operations and global level policy dialogue.· Established new team staff recruitment plan, workplan, budget, work process flows (15 staff under direct supervision)· Led the development of the EPL team’s strategy to position GPE as a credible technical actor and thought leader in the GPE policy priority areas of: education policy dialogue, planning and monitoring; Data and evidence; Education Finance, ECCE; Gender equality in and through education; Effective teaching; Equity and inclusion; Covid 19 response; Climate change and education; Connectivity· Daily team management; supervision, coaching and mentoring of team members; oversight of HR allocation including hiring, renewals and performance evaluation; team budget programming and monitoring; risk management; change management process support· Lead and promote a culture of evidence in country operations and global facing work including the technical oversight and validation of technical and knowledge products developed. Ensure coordination, cross-fertilization and synergies across the GPE policy priority areas. Strategic support and advice to the Chief Technical Officer. Represent GPE in high-level policy and/or technical meetings and conference and steering committees· Development of strategic partnerships and relationship manager of GPE technical partners incl. relevant departments of bilateral agencies/donors, UN agencies, WB/IMF, think tanks, foundations, academia, CSOs.· Supported the development of the new GPE 2025 by providing strategic and evidence-informed inputs and leadership in GPE policy priority areas and the design of key elements of the new operating model.
