I'm Raphael, an Information Systems & Technology (IST) Masters Student & Former Teaching Assistant @ York University and a CAS Graduate Researcher/Collaborator with IBM under the supervision of Marin Litoiu & Ian Watts! While completing my Graduate Studies, I also work for the City of Richmond Hill as an Application Analyst! Throughout my Graduate studies, I have familiarized myself with Docker & Kubernetes platforms and deploying applications on AWS EC2 & Openshift. My work primarily focused on Data Gathering, Application Testing, Fault Detection & Prediction using IBM Instana, Grafana, Prometheus and Python in addition to Reading, Writing and Reviewing Research & Industry Papers!My Masters Thesis is on System Failure Prediction, Anomaly Detection and Root Cause Analysis. My Research interests are ML Failure Prediction and Anomaly Detection, Cloud Computing, Chaos Engineering, Performance Testing and Modelling. My research on Application Testing with IBM Ied me towards my passion for designing and developing applications using Figma/Angular Framework/Javascript/HTML/CSS. Following Object Oriented Best Practices, I continue to learn and build on my skills everyday! I'm exciting with my role as an Application Analyst for the City of Richmond Hill!Academic/Career Milestone Highlights:(1) Application Analyst, City of Richmond Hill -- Thrilled to apply my skills from my collaborative work with IBM in this new role at the City! 🥳(2) ACM/SPEC ICPE '24 Conference -- Co-authored the paper "InstantOps: A Joint Approach to System Failure Prediction and Root Cause Identification in Microservices Cloud-Native Applications," in collaboration with CERAS Labs, IBM Lab Canada, and IBM Research India.
