Business Intelligence Consultant
Customer Success Manager (Graduate Program)
In my role within the Customer Success Team at Salesforce my aim was to ensure that our customers maximise their business value with Salesforce by establishing a quick rapport with executives and CRM managers as well as managing relationships at scale. I did this by consulting them on how they can address their business needs with the Salesforce platform. Furthermore, I supported our customers in increasing the end-user adoption within their organisation and by supporting them in their efforts to set their end-users up for success. I engaged with our customers on a one-to-one basis, through the Success Community, as well as webinars that I managed end-to-end (conceptualisation, marketing, delivery). In order to help my customers in the best way possible, I have successfully completed the Salesforce Administrator (ADM-201) certification as well as 80+ modules on the Salesforce Learning Platform Trailhead.
Working Student In Business Consulting (Sap Retail & Hana Project)
Starting as an intern and later continuing my work at IBM as a working student, I have developed and implemented a forecasting system for project costs and budgeting as well as several process improvements within the project management office. Being responsible for the operational test management in SAP as well as for quality assurance for ARIS enterprise models I have developed skills in the usage of SAP as well as knowledge of functional and integration testing.
Co-Founder
I have always been passionate about Entrepreneurship. Not only starting my own little eBusiness when I was sixteen or working in a startup for five years, but also initiating Founders Club two years ago were some of the most exciting experiences I have had so far.Coming back from my semester abroad in Indianapolis (US), in early 2014 I embarked on a journey together with two fellow students and friends to give student entrepreneurship in Maastricht a platform where people could collaborate and build a network around the common goal of starting a business. Our goal is to further develop the network of Founders Club as well as establishing it as a name brand within Maastricht and beyond. Within the setting of a collaborative community, organizing weekly meetings with presentations, workshops, and discussions we want to enable students to build up a network with equally minded people and to learn from each other. So far, Founders Club has been a success with a growing number of participants and official support from the University. I have developed several areas of expertise based on workshops that I have conducted, which are Design Thinking, Business Model Canvas, Startup Pitch, and Prototyping.
Student Assistant: Co-Creating Course "It Project Management"
In my role as a student assistant I helped Prof. Dr. Frank Harmsen create the syllabus for the Masters Course "IT Project Management", which is part of the International Business: Information Management & Business Intelligence Master. I did so by creating a fictional business case spanning the length of the course within which students were applying the most important concepts of IT project management, including writing a business case, performing a financial analysis, coming up with a requirements document and RFP, creating a project charter, a work breakdown structure, a change management and risk management plan, change requests, a budget, a quality assurance plan, and a 360 degree assessment. The course received an overall grade of 7.7 in the student evaluation, marking a 2.3 grade points improvement from prior years.
Intern, Innovation Management
During my internship I was able to further develop my skills in strategy and innovation during an inhouse consulting project where I have contributed in analyzing the opportunities and threats the SBU faces in its market as well as developing a strategy going forward during the following years. During the strategy development process our team combined classic strategic tools with innovation and ideation methods like Design Thinking, the Business Model Canvas, and the Customer Journey.
Freelancing Tutor
I tutored high school as well as university students ranging from age 14 to 28 years in subjects English, Math, and Statistics. From this activity I learned what it takes to convey knowledge and motivate other people by triggering their interest in the subject and converting the study materials to a format that is easy to digest.
Chairman Of The International Financial Orientation Committee
• Organized a ten-day trip to Beijing/CN, which is recognized as an official Skills Course by Maastricht University• Chaired and coordinated a task force with three other committee-members that arranged workshops and presentations with Shell, Canon, SAP, PwC, and LSX in their Beijing officesWhen joining the board of the study association SCOPE|FOCUS, I soon realized that doing business is all about networking. We started to organize the International Financial Orientation, a 10-day trip to Beijing/CN, in late October and tried to get about eight to ten companies in, in order to visit them in China and have them give a presentation or workshop. By the end of January we had only one company that had indicated that they are interested in joining our event. In order to succeed and getting enough firms interested in our event, we changed our approach to actually contacting people we know and that are already affiliated with our study association instead of calling firms in China directly. By using our network to establish contact, we succeeded and by the end of April we had nine visits at prestigious firms scheduled. In short: “Networking is not about just connecting people. It’s about connecting people with people, people with ideas, and people with opportunities.”
