Hi! I am originally from Brazil and while in high school, I had the life-changing opportunity to study abroad in Stockholm; this experience allowed me to reflect on cultural diversity and also deepened my interest in arts. After I returned to Brazil, I decided to study Audiovisual Arts with an emphasis in Direction of Photography (DOP) at the Universidad Nacional de La Plata (UNLP), in Argentina. I have worked in many film productions as DOP, Gaffer, Assistant Camera (1st and 2nd AC) and Lightning Technician in long and short films, fiction and documentaries, advertisings, videoclips, corporate films, etc. I have also worked as technician and collaborator at two film festivals, the International Independent Film Festival of La Plata - FestiFreak in the 2009 to 2012 edition and also the Film Festival about Sexual Diversity and Gender - Espacio Queer in 2015 and 2016. Also during my time in Argentina I worked many years in independent theaters mainly as Lightning Technician. As photographer I have participated in several photographic exhibitions (individual, collective and as curator). I also worked for four years as a teacher assistant (TA) in a course entitled Lightning and Camera 1B, at the UNLP, mentored by professors Diego Flores and Franco Palazzo. Later, I worked for four years as the main instructor at NOVA School of Photography, a technical school. At NOVA, I was a member of a cooperative group in which I was responsible for teaching the courses of Composition & Visual Organization and Lightning 1 and 2, among some other short workshops such as Studio Lightning Practices, Video editing and Creative composition. It was also my responsibility to manage and promote the Photo Gallery activities like the guests and the students exhibitions. Furthermore, I was an active member of the Photo-chemical Lab, producing, developing, printing and experimenting with analog photography.
